What are you doing?  I think.  Charlie Sanders runs across the street.  I stare I can’t do anything.  I shouldn’t care what he does.  Then it happens.  I most definitely care about what he’s just done.

“CHARLIE WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?” I scream.

He lays in the middle of the street.  No cars are around.  Just him on the ground in his own pool of blood with a black gun in his hand.

Explosions sound in the background.  The girl looks up with a scowl on her face.  They’ve interrupted her reading.  She gets up just in time to watch another building blow up, debree blows into her face.   She doesn’t even put up her hand to prevent it from colliding with her face.  Groaning, she walks away farther as she’s been doing each time the explosions get closer.

“Hey, make them farther away, that was a good reading spot!” She calls out up above her.

The black creature nods and makes its way to the other creatures to pass along what their master has just told them.

Part 4 of Random Cat Story!!!

As soon as we reach the other cave entrance a horrible stench reaches my nose.  I almost fall off Jeffry the Purple Pegasus.

“Holy Crapoli, what the hell is that!” I exclaim, my eyes watering.

A short, built woman next to me gags “cat spray.”

UGH.  Cat spray.  Another term for cat pee.  Comments come from all around me as the Pegasuses head deeper into the cave like “Oh Dear God” or “Oh sweet baby jesus” or in my case “How the bananas did this much cat pee get everywhere?  Like I’m wondering if they made cat pee febreeze or something.”

Then I shut my mouth because when I open it I can taste it.  After three hours of walking down the wide cave I become concerned.  Shouldn’t we have found something by now?  Ugh, just another day in the US of A I guess.  Freaking bananas.  This sucks.  I just want to be back home to Texas.  After a short break we head on down the cave for three more hours until we reached a huge opening.  I stick my head out the cave and smell nothing, just the clean outside air.  To my confusion I realize the smell of the cat pee is still strong in the cave.  I look down outside the cave.  All I see is the side of a mountain.  Frustrated I begin to climb sideways to a flat surface that somewhat sticks out of the mountain.  Once I reach it I look down cautiously.  It’s freezing cold up here as a result of the altitude and cloudiness.  Wind whips at my face as I try to make out any buildings.  I see a city that seems tiny and then I see it.  The only identifiable building I can see from up here.  Chuckie Cheese.  Horror sweeps over me as I realize that the building that I thought was Chuckie Cheese was not……………………………………………………………………………………………..

Kind of Creepy Short Story.

Waves lap against the rocks, mist shoots up as an effect of the impact.  The smell of the ocean, the feel of the grainy sand.  Everything about it is peaceful for me.  I inhale the beautiful scent and lay out the blanket onto the beach.  My body begins to relax after I lay on the blanket.

I get up slowly after an hour of napping, the clouds block the sun, there is only a faint bit of light although it is two o’clock.  Wind blows and a chill sweeps over me.  Goosebumps form on my skin.

“Help!”

The scream breaks the peaceful silence, the scream must have woken me up.  I sprint over to the water where a small child flops her arms around aimlessly.  I run to the freezing water.  Why in the world would she be in the water when it’s this cold!  I wonder.

I call out to the eight year old girl.  I tell her I’m coming to her aid.

Ignore the temperature of the water.

I swim as fast as I can to the spot in which she is.  I see her there, and for a moment she goes completely still, but she’s still afloat.  She smiles, revealing her sharp teeth.  In an instant pain fills my whole body and I’m limp in the water.  For just a moment I see the supposed girl as she swims away with her black scaly tail flopping behind her.

Sirens sound behind me and I slip out of consciousness.

“Can you hear me ma’am?” He asks me.

I move my arm slightly.

“We’ll need to take her to the hospital, load her onto the stretcher.” He tells others in the water.

As I’m being taken to shore, I can feel their eyes on me.  Their beady black eyes with dead yellowish skin pulled tight.  Fangs, sharp nails and bony fingers greet me in my dreams later in the night.

I wasn’t supposed to survive, and they’ll make sure I don’t.  Telling anyone else won’t be possible since my vocal chords are gone.  So I’ll just lay here in my hospital bed, with its scratchy sheets, and I’ll say goodbye to everything I’ve ever known.  My family will come to visit me, their salty tears will sting their eyes as well as mine, because it seems its just too soon to say goodbye.  As we bid adieu I can’t help but think, fairytale creatures like mermaids and fairies, aren’t what they seem.
